Guidu is a mobile application that makes it easy to tell the world what you are up to and where you are by updating your Twitter and Fire Eagle from your mobile phone. It also lets you keep track of what your friends are doing by showing you their updates.

It includes both location and map information by using the recently launched Ericsson Labs Mobile Maps API

do you also have something like a geolocation module, to find buddies close to you?

I don't see why not because if you look at Ericsson Labs web page at: https://labs.ericsson.com/apis/mobile-maps/. They say "With Mobile Maps you can create your own applications such as friend finders, navigation systems, restaurant locators, weather services, location based social networks etc. Your imagination is the limit!".

We have recently released a location API. https://labs.ericsson.com/apis/web-location/ With this API, you can get location data for a mobile phone from your web application. The API uses the positioning systems of mobile operators. End-users don’t need to have any client application installed on their phone, and the positioning works for all types of phones.
