Hello, We are developing applications for mobile remote control of mobile robots with your mobile phone. Currently, we use the video call feature to send pictures from tax in the video stream. You have SE Phone 2 important features compared to other phones.
1. Sending pictures and video replacement during a video call
2. automatic answer even for video call.
So far we manage in coupling of cell phone reception and microcontrollers with light sensors, based on the brightness of the display readout. It would be better, the incoming video stream by software to evaluate, so we do not face the display. We have seen no way video call in applications to integrate. Maybe you can help us, especially as a basis for many new technology applications remotely possible.

Hi Sony,

I think the best way is probably to use a service such as Slideshare or similar to outline the general concept or problem you are solving, depending on how much you feel you can share. I know many of our developers visit the forum on developer world (developer.sonyericsson.com) for example.

Do I understand correctly that you want to be able to process the video stream programmatically rather than use external sensors so that you get improved quality and better accuracy etc ?

(sounds interesting - do you have videos of the robots on youtube or similar ?)

Thanks for responding. I am from India. Here in India there is a big trend of Dual SIM mobile. And there is a big market for such phones here [and Gulf too- to my knowledge] Many manufacturers have dual SIM phones in market. But till now SonyEricsson is silent in this matter. I want you guys to bring dual SIM phones to market, in a different way.
Now my concept, I think Sony should do it in a different way. [I am a SONY fan, like many]. I Think about a phone that have DUAL/ MULTI SIM capability. But only with one SIM Socket. SIMs data should be loaded to memory and operate. Phone should be capable of handling more than 2 SIMs at a time. More than 2 IMEI number should be assigned to one instrument [if user needs 5 SIMs, then 5 IMIE numbers and so on]. This is my core concept.
I hope you will do convey my core concept to Sonyericsson.

Thanks for sharing your idea - I will pass on your request for dual sim support.

I believe there are actually third-party adapters for dual sims though not as nice your in-memory solution - not sure how technically possible it is with assigning same hardware multiple IMEI etc.

Thanks for responding. yes i have seen many thirdparty adapters which are actually of no use. If this SIM-IN-MEM concept works, we can have more than 2 SIMs in to one phone. All working simultaniously. A major kernel/firmware reprograming will be required. But that effort is really worthy. I do belive no hardware modifications will be needed. And regarding IMEI numbers, you guys can add a provision in updateservice to add aditional IMEI numbers with a nominal fee.[so customers can do it them selves or a local SE service center can do it.]. So hope to see Sonyericsson SIM-IN-MEM cellphones soon in market. If possible, please update me the developments.

I dont think we go much deeper than the whitepaper in what we publish... that said I couldnt find the Z610 whitepaper on Dev. World so requested that for publication.

This is the info that I have:

Type: OLED
Size: 1.1 inches
Resolution: 128x36 pixels
Technology: Monochrome, passive matrix, OLED
Colours displayed together: Black and White

What do you need to know specifically so I can ask around ?

We are trying to make a project, where we need a hands-free camera sending realtime video to the phone. And we can't find it at all...

During scaning the internet, we found, that "sony erricson" with Johan Frossencam developed such camera (link below), that we need in 2006, but there is no information about, exсept this one declaration...

I have been looking for how to get sonyericsson technical email adress,so as to mail any of the admin and get solution to the problem am having with my phone. I use se k660i the problem am having with it is application problem,i use different types of applications such as eg google map,shmessenger and opera browser,when ever i tried to browse with any of the application it won't connect and immediately i exited the application, java setting we pop up and if i still sellect ip to use through the java setting that pops up samething we still persist,and i have even gone to the extent of reloading the operating system through the phone upgrade on sonyericsson site which ask me to hold down "c" botton before connecting the data cable, and the upgrade finished successfully,which i even lost alot of information on the phone yet no solution. Pls mr thomas i we be very greatful if i can get the neccessary solution from you. If there is need to mail me here is my adress ( eassylife0007@yahoo.com )
